What is the Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group (CMDG)?
The Cotswold Mainline Diesel Group is based at Toddington on the Gloucestershire Warwickshire Railway (GWR) and owns two former British Railways mainline diesel locomotives. Class 26 No.26043 was purchased in 1993 and Class 45/1 locomotive No.45149 in 1997. Following extensive restoration, both locos entered traffic in 2013 and regularly operate at the GWR. 26043 (restored with original number D5343) also regularly operates at other heritage railways around the UK. Please browse through the pages of this site to find out more about our locomotives and different ways you can support us. Thank you for your interest.
