Would you like to help with the preservation of D5343 and 45149? You can do so in several ways
Financial
Maintaining and operating 60+ year old diesel locomotives is an expensive business!!! You can help us by becoming a shareholder (for which you will receive Share Certificates). Shares can be purchased with a one off payment or by paying in easy monthly instalments. If you do online banking you can simply set up a direct debit using the sort code and account details on the form (click on the buttons below for further details). Then just send us a message using the 'contact us' form with details of direct debit amount, name, address and phone number. In addition you can support the CMDG through 'easyfundraising'...
So how does it work? easyfundrasing is an online shopping directory featuring over 2000 well known retailers including Thomson, Thomas Cook, Expedia, First Choice, Virgin, Argos, M&S, Tesco and so many more. You shop directly with the retailer as you would normally, but if you sign up to http://www.easyfundraising.org.uk/CMDG for free and use the links on the easyfundraising site to take you to the retailer, then a percentage of what you spend is donated to us at NO EXTRA COST TO YOU! Simple! See the easyfundraising page on this site for more details. How much can you raise? Spend £100 with M&S online and you raise £5 for us. £100 spent with Amazon raises £2.50, £100 with WH Smith puts £2.00 in our pocket and so on. There's over 2,000 retailers on their site and some of the donations can be as much as 15% of your purchase. Save money too! easyfundraising is FREE to use plus you'll get access to hundreds of exclusive discounts and voucher codes, so not only will you be helping us, you’ll be saving money yourself. This is a great way to keep donations coming in for the upkeep of our locos. |
Practical
Restoration and maintenance is also an ongoing task - there are always jobs to complete! Regular working parties take place at Toddington, usually on Sundays. If you would like to help the small but dedicated team of volunteers, please get in touch using the contact form. You will be most welcome. You don't have to have specialist skills, just a willingness to get stuck in and get your hands dirty! Tasks vary from cleaning and painting to dismantling or reassembling components for repair. |
